Painting Is My Everything: Art From India’s Mithila Region
This was among the first exhibitions at the museum to include tactile interpretive kiosks for blind and low-vision visitors. One kiosk, outside the gallery, featured a map with raised lines designed to show visitors how to navigate the gallery. Inside the gallery, a second kiosk provided a raised image of a selected painting from the exhibition; various textures were keyed to braille describing each section of the painting. The production of these panels involved coordinating with three different vendors: for the image, braille translation and printing.
