Jean Shin: Pause

This site-specific installation by artist Jean Shin used discarded cell phones and computer cables to ask how technological innovation contributes to climate change. The title treatment uses a digitally inspired typeface and incorporates the pause symbol to reference the exhibition content. The contrasting color scheme of the gallery manifests the artist’s concept of the installation as a landscape: viewers stand in the dark and look out onto a yellow horizon.
